We are a group of Japanese and Scottish engineering students tasked with developing a novel injury detection technology with a specific application to sporting disciplines.
Using innovative and breakthrough technology we hope to produce a proof of concept prototype for early detection of concussions and other potentially serious brain injuries in sport. In addition, we hope to define more transparent injury criteria based on accurate FEM analyses performed and validated by ourselves.

Project Aim
Our aim is to design and develop innovative technology that will aid in the detection of concussive injuries in sport.
A a novel injury criterion will be produced from an extensive finite element investigation and incorporated within a real time head motion capture system. Our aim is to produce a prototype product that can be used across a range of sporting disciplines. With the introduction of such technology, we believe athletes will be better protected against to serious brain damage in later life.
