Foot to the Floor

After a productive last week last week, it was vital IDT maintained the momentum and keep pushing forward. With a date finalised for the final presentation here at Tokyo Tech, the pressure is on to get everything finished in time. Both design and analysis teams have been working tirelessly to make this happen and some great progress has been made.

We now have all 24 of our concussion loads cases pre-processed thanks to some long hours from FEA Consulatant Ryan Cogan. Some clever MATLAB scripting from Campbell McFadden has also implemented numerous intuitive engineering solutions to overcome the problems the analysis team has encountered up until now with respect to solution accuracy and pre-processing. Tuan Nguyen is finishing off the final few cases which, once complete, will progress the analysis phase of the project into its final stages.

Testing of the prototype has continued and correlation to professional data is ongoing, we hope to be able to validate the device in the next couple of days. The intensive physical testing program has been performed by Robert Peacock, Peter Sclare and Naoki Ueda, all contributing massively, very well done!

Further progress on the software side and clarity over the design of the GUI have also meant Kyosuke Kobayashi has been able to demonstrate a working wired environment in which accelerometer readings can be interpreted. This is a huge achievement and with 4 weeks remaining, we are confident to have a refined working system delivered on time.

Massive well done to everyone at IDT, keep up the good work guys!
